Paul Originally began teaching guitar at Ilkeston School in 1999. He was soon accredited by the head of Derbyshire Education Authority (Phillip King) as an excellent guitar tutor.
Paul is Fully accredited and Qualified with a 2:1 Ba hons Music Degree, Grade 8 Guitar & National Diploma in Music with Distinction
He joined the regional music partnership and tutored the guitar in many schools in the Ilkeston, Derbyshire and Nottingham Areas. He also lectured Music at South East Derbyshire College in the East Midlands. Three years later he was commissioned to score the music for three films by two London Film Companies, these circulated in the US and Europe winning several industry awards, most notably at the New York, Sanfransisco and Raindance Film festivals. Paul has since scored over twenty films and has worked professionally as a composer since 2002. He Left the Partnership in 2002 to pursue the writing and now teaches guitar privately at his studio in Ilkeston.

Not every one that pics up the guitar is interested in following graded exams. Paul teaches many young and mature students, some complete beginners who simply enjoy learning to play their favourite songs and becoming competent on the instrument! Set in a friendly and creative atmosphere, students are able to learn at their own pace with the aid of all the very latest music technology.
Paul teaches Beginners, Intermediate and advanced guitar and also music theory.
In 2010 two of his private students (that he taught from the age of 9 - initially at Scargill and Stanley Village schools) achieved their Grade 8 Guitar Certificate -  one Merit the other with Distinction. Grounded with a fundamental knowledge of music and technical skill both are now on their way to Music College and University. Paul has tutored many other students into further education and has also taught several Music Directors and Head Teachers.
